Alternative to Dings and Chips on Mitered Corners

I am an amateur cabinet maker who struggled for many years with lots of wasted time and expensive materials trying to produce furniture grade miter joints with perfect sharp edges. SO frustrating (and expensive) without the highest quality woodworking machinery! Why sweat perfect miter joints when MDF L-corners solve the problem AND offer the option of veneering with a matching/complimentary wood stain or an aesthetic look of paint or a mix of paint and woodgrains with relief edges along the seams for added visual interest. Keep a small stock of veneered but unstainedor unpainted stock for quick installation. Curved surface in average lighting shows less wear with time and light damage from accidental bangs and scratches. NOTE: Be aware that if a continuous flush finish is required you will need to specify 18/19 mm (true 3/4") or 16 mm plywood or other panel materials for the 5/8" version. Also must be stored in dry location as MDF will absorb moisture over time making finishing a little more labor intensive. Nice and better appearance over time than drywall with metal corner bead that sheds paint and can chip more easily easily.

Looked great, worked well!

We used the molding for a Scenic Element for a Theatrical Design. We had an Art Deco Based - Faux Concrete element, that was over 12' tall and called for a rounded edge finish. The material worked just fine, and gave us the look we were going for. I only wish there was an easier way for using fasteners on the material, I know we weren't using the materials as designed - per se - but it would have been a nice option.
