Harmony Series
Performance Meets Design
True Acoustic Performance
The True Black recycled PET felt backing absorbs sound waves, reducing echo and ambient noise. The Harmony Series is designed for spaces where acoustic quality matters — home theaters, studios, offices, open-plan living areas, and rooms with hard-surface reverberation.
Matte Black Oak Veneer
Matte Black Oak veneer slats create a dark, modern architectural surface with a clean, understated appearance.
Recycled PET Backing
The acoustic backing is made from recycled plastic bottles. The MDF core slats help diffuse and dampen sound waves while the PET felt absorbs sound energy, working together as an acoustic wall system.
Wall or Ceiling Install
Install horizontally or vertically on walls, or overhead on ceilings. Suitable for adhesive or screw installation, giving installers flexibility to choose the method appropriate for the substrate and application.

How the Panel Works
Three Layers, One Result
The Harmony panel is an acoustic assembly. Matte Black Oak veneer slats provide the visible surface and visual diffusion. The MDF core slats help diffuse and dampen sound waves. The recycled PET felt backing absorbs sound energy that passes through.
Coverage Planning
Each carton covers approximately 16.41 sq ft. Divide your total wall or ceiling area by 16.41 and round up to the nearest whole carton. Plan treated area according to room size, reflective surfaces, and the desired acoustic effect.
Tested Performance
Acoustic Data
| Frequency | Sound Absorption Coefficient |
|---|---|
| 250 Hz | 0.193 |
| 500 Hz | 0.575 |
| 1000 Hz | 0.925 |
| 2000 Hz | 0.833 |
NRC 0.54, up to 0.90 depending on installation method and air gap. SAA 0.56. Absorption peaks in the 800–1250 Hz range, the band most responsible for speech intelligibility and room echo.
Panel Construction
Three bonded layers at 13/16″ total thickness: a wood veneer face over an MDF core, backed by 5/16″ flame-retardant polyester felt. Slat geometry is a 1-1/16″ rib with a 1/2″ channel and 1/2″ tab.
Fire & Compliance Testing
The flame-retardant polyester fiber used in these acoustic panels has passed ASTM E-84-2018 (Class A) and EN 13501-1:2007+A1:2009 (Class B). Confirm the ratings required by your local code and project specification before ordering — contact us for test documentation.
Installation
Step by Step
Plan Your Layout
Panels align edge to edge — mark your starting line with a level. Decide on vertical or horizontal orientation before beginning.
Prep the Surface
The wall or ceiling should be clean, dry, and flat. For screw installation, locate framing or use appropriate anchors for the substrate.
Cut to Size
Panels can be cut to length with an appropriate fine-tooth saw. Measure carefully and protect the visible veneer surface during cutting.
Apply Adhesive or Screw
Use an adhesive compatible with the wall substrate and PET backing, or mechanically fasten through the backing into suitable framing or anchors.
Align Panels Edge to Edge
Butt panel edges firmly together with no overlap, checking alignment with a level as the installation progresses.
Ceiling Installation
For overhead applications, use fastening and support appropriate for the substrate and panel weight. Follow adhesive and fastener manufacturer requirements.
Installer Advice
Pro Tips
Start with a Level Line
Establish a level reference line before installation and use it throughout the run. Small deviations become increasingly visible across a large slatted surface.
Protect the Veneer Face
Handle and cut panels carefully to protect the visible veneer surface, particularly along exposed ends and freshly cut edges.
Plan Coverage
Use the carton coverage figure to estimate quantity, then account for cuts, room geometry, and the amount of wall or ceiling area you intend to treat.
Care & Maintenance
Dust panels lightly with a soft dry cloth or low-suction vacuum brush attachment. Avoid excessive moisture on the veneer slats, and follow White River Hardwoods recommendations for the installation environment.
